Bruce Springsteen - When You Need Me
Nel Novembre del 1998 Bruce Springsteen fa uscire un cofanetto, "Tracks", contenente 4 CD per un totale di 66 canzoni con 56 inediti, molti dei quali risalgono al periodo di "The River" e "Born In The U.S.A.". Le altre 10 canzoni sono b-sides. " When You Need Me " è la quindicesima del terzo CD. In essa si nota una certa malinconia country, un testo un pò retorico ed una struttura musicale che mi ricorda altre canzoni del Boss. Anche se è considerata una canzone in tono minore, non nego che rimango sempre affascinato dalla musica che Bruce ci elargisce. Il suo segno è quello, indelebile, che ha lasciato e continua a lasciare nella storia della musica rock e non solo. Un esempio unico di longevità artistica, da trent'anni sulla cresta dell'onda. Springsteen è ancora il presente del rock: nel 2003 è stato il cantante mondiale che ha raccolto più spettatori ai suoi concerti. E questo perché conserva la sua carica esplosiva, perché dimostra una continua capacità di sorprendere, di rinnovare la sua vena creativa, di conquistare nuove generazioni di appassionati. Parlo di un artista a tutto tondo - scrittore di testi, compositore di musiche, arrangiatore, musicista e, soprattutto, concertista - che può essere collocato a buon diritto sul podio dei grandi della musica pop-rock moderna. March 15 2008 - Scientology Protest p1 Champaign IL
So well, here is the first of a few clips that were taken for today for the protesting of the Co$ in champaign/Urbana area. We expected more, but we still had plenty of fun throughout, with a round total of nine protesters. Good job, we had awesome fun, got to had out plenty of fliers, some people drove by yelling "Hail Xenu," Though it wasn't caught on camera, and they came back twice more. It was amazing, great work, even though most of you arrived -late.- Oh yeah, you china masked people (you know whom you be), don't stand in the road anymore! A cop showed up and was asking who was leading us and that one of the guys inside the Co$ was an off duty cop, and we were lectured about being in the road and we got snapped at about handing out cake too (he said he was going to give us a ticket if we did it again...) Seriously.. Lets bring doughnuts next time, just for our friendly cops!
