And now for something completely different. Sort of. I have recorded over 100 minutes of this music I can't quite find a name for so I just call it music for meditation or thinking music. The whole idea is basically improvisation over a chord progression I often play on the keyboard. My goal is to try to create a sound which is kind of "out there". I used to dabble with this about 20 yrs ago and I came back to it and I find it a very creative outlet for me. Instant music. I don't rehearse it at all. What comes out comes out. I find it appealing to try to play melody lines about as slow and expressive as I can. To sort of get my mind in some sort of serene zone which allows me to think on deeper things , relax, meditate etc. I filled up an entire CD of this type of music and I found it to really relax me especially at bed time. So let me get your feedback and let me know what you think about the overall sound. If you like it I can do more. The great thing is that I can sit down to record and have no clue whatsoever as to what will come out at the end of the session. I enjoy that aspect of it. Cause you never know! Take care.
