Brisbane, Queensland, AUSTRALIA - 1988 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, Pairs' Long Program - Kristi Yamaguchi and Rudi Galindo of the United States hitting a near perfect program with side by side triple flips, and a side-by-side double Axels-half loop-steps into triple toe loops. It was enough to move them from 3rd to 1st. They're still the only pair to land a side-by-side triple flips in competition, and the only skaters to win golds at Jr. Worlds in pairs and, each individually, in singles as well. Rudi won his singles title in 1987.
