How, how am I supposed to feel When everything surrounding me Is nothing but a fake disguise I don't know, I don't know where I belong It's time for me to carry on I'll say goodbye I turned my body towards him. There he was, perfect hair, perfect clothes, perfect face... "We need to talk." He said. Those 4 words, usually said by someone before they end a relationship, was being said to me, basically to try to start all over. "Go." I said, getting out of his grip and crossing my arms across my chest. "In private..." He spit out, as he turned toward his room. I followed him. His room was only a couple feet away from Kevin's, so it didn't take long... He went into his room, and I hesitated, before stepping into his room, and sitting in a chair, across from his bed. I can't stop the rain from fallin' I'm drownin in these tears I cry Since you left without a warning I face the dawn with sleepless eyes No I can't go on When clouds are pushin' down on me, boy I can't stop, I can't stop the rain From fallin He watched me sit in the chair and went over to his bed, sitting across from me. He looked up at me, resting his elbows on his knees, and letting his hands fold. I just continued to cross my arms, and I crossed my legs. I didn't look at him. I couldn't, it hurt too much. Instead, I looked at his floor. I rolled my eyes as he didn't say anything. I got up out of the chair, letting out a small sigh as I walked over to the door, about to leave his room. "Wait." I heard a small voice say... I turned my body, facing him as I leaned against the door frame. "What?!" I basically yelled. Every ounce of anger was now coming out. I had to get it out. And poor Nick was the only one to yell at. I was mad, and that wasn't changing. "I'm sorry..." He said those words, just like he did in the text message. I sighed and partially laughed as I turned around, and walked out the door. I'm sorry definitely doesn't make up for the year, one whole year, he left me for. I walked out of the Jonas' house, leaving Lilly there for an extra-long play date. I didn't care. I wasn't coming back... I wasn't coming back... June 2008 It had been 2 months since I had talked to Nick that day... I completely ignored him. I didn't bring Lilly over to their house anymore, she was old enough to go by herself now. It's June... Today, was the one-year 'anniversary', I guess you could call it. One year ago, I sat on those steps, crying my eyes out, over the boy I thought I loved... He left one year ago... "KRISTIN!" My mom yelled from downstairs. Her voice shook me out of my thoughts... "What?!" I yelled back, making my way to my door to hear her more clearly. "Are you packed and ready to go?" She screamed. I was completely confused... "Packed for what?" I yelled basically at the top of my lungs. "The trip with the Jonas'!" She screamed. "Oh crap." I said to myself, I completely forgot about the trip. Our families were extremely close... So close that we had these trips together. Every year, we drive somewhere, anywhere really, with the Jonas'. We didn't go last year because of their tour... I grabbed an empty suitcase and basically threw my closet into my bag. Not bothering to fold anything. Then Lilly came skipping into my room, obviously happy about the trip. "Hey Kristin! Guess what?!" "What I said mumbling, still trying to find things to put in my suitcase. "I get to spend a whole week with Frankie! And you get to spend a whole week with Nick!" She started giggling. Obviously, Lilly had a crush on Frankie... But she was right, I had to spend a whole week with Nick... joy... An hour later, me, my mom, Lilly, Joe, Kevin, Nick, Frankie, Mrs. Jonas, Mr. Jonas, and of coarse Big Rob were all squeezed in one car. I don't get why we didn't just take two cars, but according to my mom, this way was more "gas friendly"... Whatever... What was worse, was that I was stuck in the very back of the huge SUV with Nick on one side of me, and Big Rob on the other. I don't know how I ended up next to Nick... or even Big Rob, but I didn't really mind Big Rob... only the fact that, well, he was... Big... The whole car was buzzing with excitement. Everyone was talking to each other... I never even looked at Nick. The whole care ride, I was basically pushed up against Nick. We were constantly touching... It was horrible. Once, he yelled at me for having my leg keep hitting his, so we got into a fight... not verbally, physically... I started punching him in the arm, and he was trying to stop me... Big Rob had to break us up. God, did I hate that car ride... Finally, after another 3 hours of talking, yelling, laughing, punching, and silence, we arrived at the familiar beach house. We rented the same beach house we did last year. I wasn't sure where we were, but wherever it was, I was glad I was out of the car with Nick. My mom explained the room arrangements, saying that, Me and Lilly shared a room, Nick and Frankie shared a room, Joe and Kevin shared a room, and the parents had their own rooms... I walked up the stairs to my room, there was two beds, one single bed, and one double bed. I instantly called the double bed. No way was I letting my little sister get the bigger bed. I unpacked all my things, and made my way downstairs. Once I walked out my door, I walked right into someone, holding a hot cup of coffee. I shrieked as it was dropped all over me. It was hot... I looked up, and there was Nick laughing at me... I glared at him and walked back into my room to get changed... I knew then and there, that this vacation, was not going to be a good one...
