Ogre (me) vs Gouken by Slayer and Khardgar Well, after some thought, I decided to take out the intro in my vids. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I just think it'd be better if I don't use it for every single Mugen vid I upload or else it'd get tedious to watch every time... as well as not let it eat up about 20-40 seconds of the video. XD However, the intro will be used for special occasions from now on. Anyhow, I pit against a character that I've only recently heard about from various people who was known to be very cheap. After a thorough search, I finally find this guy... who's known as "Gouken", the supposed-brother of Akuma/Gouki. What people will notice right off the bat is that he's a shoto-clone (what a shock) and an edit of Akuma. So unsurprisingly, he's got the whole array of shoto-moves. However, the cheapness factors he attains doesn't lie within that... For starters, his super bar constantly refills at a rapid rate, whether he's attacking or even standing still and uses supers at every opportunity he could get. He's also a complete counter-whore when he's been hit with any attack while on the ground. Worse yet, he's missing some "Stunned" sprites in his coding, resulting in glitches that allows him to escape most combos and retaliate (he also disappears spontaneously during some moves). Other less annoyances is the Ryu+Ken assists and a SGS that can get you completely without warning. I'll admit, he was pretty tough during the first few rounds I've went against him, but I quickly caught on to his patterns soon enough and found some obvious exploits that changed my whole opinion of him. Now, I realize just stupid this guy can get! But I digress; I can see why people think of him as a cheesy SOB and can definitely be a pain in the arse. This'll be my shortest vid yet, even if I had my intro in it, but I promise that my next vid will be something that'll make up for these last two unfulfilling matches (yes, I do mean the one with Evil Ken). Well anyway, health is set to 150 and enjoy the quickie-fight. (Edit: Whoa... Youtube has completely murdered the quality of this vid.
