Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Tuesday, May 8, 2007. Actors Neve Campbell and John Light have tied the knot. Campbell's rep says the two married in a small ceremony in Malibu over the weekend. People magazine reports they met while filming their new independent film "Investigating Sex." The magazine says Light popped the question last year by getting down on one knee and reciting Shakespeare to the actress. Campbell is known for her roles in the "Scream" movies and "Party of Five." Her new husband appeared in HBO's "Band of Brothers." TV host Ty Pennington is facing drunk driving charges. Police say the host of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" was arrested around 12:30am Saturday for allegedly driving under the influence. He was reportedly released on 5,000 dollars bail shortly after. In a statement released yesterday, Pennington says he made a mistake and this has been a "wake-up call" for him. He's expected to appear in court on June 4. Actor Kevin Costner is a father once again. He and his wife Christine welcomed a baby boy on Sunday. His name is Cayden Wyatt Costner. The actor's rep says both mom and baby are doing great. The baby is the first for Christine and the fifth for Costner. He has 3 older children from his first marriage and a 10 year old from a previous relationship. The new parents have been dating since 1998 and married in September of 2004. One family court is temporarily banning actor David Hasselhoff from seeing his daughters. People magazine says a southern California judge granted an order from Hasselhoff's ex-wife to take away his visitation rights. The judge suspended the actor's custody until May 21. This comes after a video of him drunk was released to the public. His 16 year old daughter Taylor Ann made the video...while filming her father she pleaded him to stop drinking. He also has a 14 year old daughter Hayley. Celebrities flocked to the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala in New York last night. The event honored designer Paul Poiret . "Ugly Betty" actress America Ferrera attended. Singer Jessica Simpson and actress Lindsay Lohan were there on the red carpet. Celebrity couple Liev Shreiber and a very pregnant Naomi Watts were also among the celebrities that showed up to support fashion. That's all for now. Her rep tells People magazine she tied the knot to British writer and director Simon Monjack a few weeks ago. It was apparently a very intimate ceremony at their southern California home. The pair took their first trip as a married couple last weekend...to attend the Kentucky Derby in Louisville. The actress has been engaged twice before...the first wedding was called off in 2004 and the other relationship ended last August. Paris Hilton is asking California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for a pardon. On her personal page on Myspace.com , she urges friends and fans to sign a petition asking the Governor to pardon her of her jail sentence. Hilton says her friend started the petition. There's no word on Schwarzenegger's reaction to the movement. One court is ordering her to spend 45 days in jail for violating her probation. Her attorney is now trying to appeal that decision. Singer George Michael is admitting to driving while on drugs. Police found Michael slumped over the wheel and blocking an intersection in London last year. A British newspaper reports the singer said yesterday in court that he suffered from "tiredness and prescribed drugs." In earlier hearings, he apparently denied taking drugs while driving. E! online says Michael's sentencing will take place May, 30. He could reportedly face a maximum of six months is jail and a 10,000 dollar fine. Celebrity couple Gabriel Macht and Jacinda Barrett are expecting their first baby. People magazine reports Barrett, first known for her appearance on "The Real World" in London will give birth later this year. The reality star turned actress has also co-starred in "The Last Kiss" with Zack Braff. Her husband has appeared in the films "The Good Shepard" and "Because I Said So." TIME Magazine is recognizing the people they consider to be most influential. At the magazine's 100 most influential people gala last night, artists, leaders and scientists were among those honored. To name a few on the list...actress Cate Blanchett, who's starred in several hit films this year. "Ugly Betty's" America Ferrerra is also on the top 100. Actor Michael J. Online says the United Nations asked the actress to be the Ambassador against hunger for the world food program. She says she's honored to take the position. Barrymore will reportedly focus on improving feeding programs in schools in some of the world's poorest countries. "American Idol" is now down to the final three. Lakisha Jones, a single mother from Maryland, was voted off the Fox singing show last night. The elimination comes just one week after she impressed "Idol" judge Simon Cowell so much that he kissed her. On Tuesday night's show he was less pleased with her performance of the Barry Gibb hit "Stayin Alive." Now Melinda Doolittle, Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis will compete for the win. Verizon Wireless is revoking sponsorship for singer Gwen Stefani's U.S. tour. The reason is because of the tour's opening act...singer Akon. Billboard says Verizon has also removed the R & B singer's music and ringtones from their stores. This comes after Akon apparently danced provocatively with a young fan on stage during his tour in Trinidad. The value of Verizon's sponsorship for Stefani's tour was predicted to be between 1.5 and 2 million dollars. The premiere of "Oceans 13" will benefit Darfur. Actors Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reportedly organizing several benefits around the premiere to donate funds to people in Sudan. On May 22, there will be a party raising money for an organization co-founded by the film's producer Jerry Weintraub called Not on Our Watch...That group supports relief efforts in the region. Proceeds of the film premieres in Las Vegas and Chicago in June will also go to the organization. The film opens in North America June 5. Actress Jordana Brewster has tied the knot. People magazine reports she married producer Andrew Form. They reportedly wed in a private ceremony last weekend in the Caribbean.
