Hello on this Tuesday, June 26, 2007. I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment updates. Paris Hilton is now a free woman. She left a southern California jail early this morning after serving more than 3 weeks there for violating probation in a reckless driving case. She reportedly walked out waving and smiling at the nearly 200 reporters waiting for her. Hilton enthusiastically hugged her mom and joined her parents for the car ride home. The hotel heiress is scheduled to appear on CNN's "Larry King Live" on Wednesday for her first post-jail interview. Rosie O'Donnell says she won't take over as host of "The Price is Right." She reportedly met with the game show's producers recently but rejected the offer to take on the role. O'Donnell announced on her website she doesn't want to move her family across the country....she and her family currently live in New York and the show tapes in Los Angeles. O'Donnell also said in the posting that she doesn't need a job right now because she's not in need of money. Lindsay Lohan's Mom says her daughter will continue treatment following her time in rehab. Dina Lohan tells People magazine the actress is doing well in a southern California facility and she'll do the extended care program when she checks out. That program reportedly helps people transition back into society with group therapy and a 12 step process. Her mom also says she plans to visit Lindsay to celebrate her 21st birthday on July 2nd. Pop star Madonna now has another mansion to call home. She and husband Guy Richie reportedly bought their sixth house. The London home was apparently bought for 12 million dollars and has 10 bedrooms. The property is right next door to where they currently live with their kids. Celebrity couple Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are the new faces of Roberto Cavalli. They've reportedly been paid a six figure sum to appear in two promotional campaigns for the fashion designer. Moss has been modeling for Cavalli for two years and Doherty was recently hired to represent the autumn and winter men's clothing line. There's no word on when the ad campaign will come out. (June 26) -- It's back to the not-so-solitary-life for Paris Hilton, who walked out of jail early Tuesday into a gathering of cameras and reporters, flashing a beaming smile and waving to the frenzied crowd. The 26-year-old celebutante wrapped up her three-week stay at the all-women's jail in Lynwood at about 12:15 a.m. She had checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility late June 3, largely avoiding the spotlight, after a surprise appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. Hilton smiled and waved as she filed past sheriff's deputies and the media, her blond hair pulled back in a braided ponytail. Her parents, Kathy and Rick Hilton, waited in a black sport utility vehicle. Hilton hurried to the vehicle, where she hugged her mother through the SUV's window. The heiress, who was wearing a sage jacket with white trim over a white shirt and skinny jeans, didn't respond to reporters' questions, but said "hi" to some of the spectators. "She fulfilled her debt. She was obviously in good spirits. She thanked people as she left," said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore. Chased by photographers in the air and on the street, Hilton eventually made her way from the jail to her grandparents' home in Los Angeles' ritzy Holmby Hills area north of Sunset Boulevard. The star of the TV reality series "The Simple Life" planned to appear on CNN's "Larry King Live" on Wednesday. Hilton will complete her probation in March 2009 as long as she keeps her driver's license current and doesn't break any laws. She can reduce that time by 12 months if she does community service that could include a public-service announcement, the city attorney's office has said. During her stay at the Lynwood facility, Hilton was mostly confined to a solitary cell in the special needs unit away from the other 2,200 inmates. After spending only three days there, she was released to home confinement by Sheriff Lee Baca for an unspecified medical condition that he later said was psychological. The following day, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer, who sentenced the hotel heiress, called her back into court and ordered her returned to jail, saying he had not condoned her release. Hilton left the courtroom in tears calling for her mother and shouting, "It's not right!" She was then taken to-days in jail. She was released after three weeks for reasons including good behavior.
