Globo's Jornal Nacional covers the death of founder Robert Marinho. Shortly after this broadcast, Globo bought the rights to the 1993 documentary on Marinho, "Beyond Citizen Kane" and withdrew it from circulation in Brazil. "Globo's involvement with and support of the military dictatorship and its partnership with the Time-Life group, are shown, as well as Marinho's political maneuverings (which included airing a non-live, edited version of a 1989 presidential debate favoring Fernando Collor de Mello) and a controversial deal involving shares of NEC Corporation and government contracts."
