A Canadian Press/Léger Marketing Survey of road rage in August 2001 revealed that one fifth of Canadians report having been the victims of a road rage incident. Last Exit tells the parallel stories of two ordinary Canadian women on one tragic day. Kathleen Robertson (Torso: The Evelyn Dick Story) stars as Beth, a single mother barely supporting her disabled son. Andrea Roth (Rescue Me) stars as Diana, a working mom precariously balancing her family and high-pressure career. Both women manage to keep it together while routinely juggling the conflicting and unrealistic demands of their private, family and professional lives. That is, until their lives intersect on the highway. Caught in nightmarish traffic and endless road construction, overwhelmed by their schedules, frustrations, and guilt, Diana and Beth are pushed beyond their ability to cope. After one of them cuts in front of the other, the two women get caught up in a reckless chase.
