Would You Sue the Hospital???
The hospital stay was a total and complete NIGHTMARE!!!! I've tried to stay positive and keep a sense of humor about my illness, but what happened to me in the hospital shouldn't happen to anyone! The doctors removed just about everything they could with this operation. They took the uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries and part of my colon. They said they felt like they got it all. So far they found benign stuff, however, in my colon, they feel that it's "suspicious" so I have to go to oncologists/specialists in the city as soon as I'm healed. Also, my thyroid is not functioning, my kidneys aren't functioning and I can't keep food down. I'm not sure if it's just stress or what. Someone commented on my videos today calling me a sycophant. It really hurt my feelings. When I post things, I'm not trying to show off or be arrogant, I'm just trying to share my life. I don't know how much more time I have, so I just want people to know that I haven't always been a loser li ke the way I feel now. I feel gross and ugly. I can't work, so it makes me feel like a failure. My bills are piling up and my credit is ruined. I'm humiliated, embarrassed and overwhelmed. :-( But I do appreciate your letters. It's people like you that keep me going and give me hope. xoxoox, Cheryl

Bruises, Infiltrated IV's, Nightmares Overflowing Catheter
I don't want to gross you out, so I'll warn you that the nightmare described in this video is rather graphic as was the post operative care that I received from the hospital. My gut instinct tells me that it was retaliation for the video camera incident and the fact that I had to call the police to get my camera back. The hospital has apparently had problems with lawsuits I found out, and got worried that I was trying to "set them up for a lawsuit"... what's crazy about that, is that was the furthest thing from my mind. My first surgery, the laparoscopy was with the "Same Day Surgery" folks at the hospital and they were absolutely amazing! They were not only great nursing staff, but they gave great care, were kind, thoughtful, nurturing, entertaining and even funny. My experience with the Same Day Surgery Nursing staff I could rave about for hours because they were just super duper fabulous. The abuse that I suffered at the hospital after my last surgery including the hysterectomy, bladder repair and removal of part of my colon was an insane nightmare.
