Paradox Here is a Koan which is a paradox wrapped up in an enigma : "Too learn about oneself is to forget one self. To forget one self is to experience the world as pure object. To experience the world as pure object is to let fall your own body and mind and the 'self-other' body and mind." Understand this as it is important as it will lead to the freedom of the Zen liberated person as that freedom is a real freedom. The "freedom" of a Zen libertine is in contrast too it; that of a liberated person, as it is then all about having uncontrolled and only the most selfish desires. Objectivity is the cause of this diabolical phenomena ensnaring us when our true nature is not known by us. A half crazed restless anxiousness is what takes place and it leads only too delusion and too error. Overcome the problem with truth coming only after doubt not then mixed up with untruth in you. Being a master of your destiny is as that is what is at issue here and it needs faith a trust in the unknown an ultimate truth one of a paradox as truth is before thinking but found after doubt and it supports material existence, position and our state of being. Progress comes from acting without reason but not without faith as in a trust in the unknown. It is then in a paradox of an affirmation and denial at the same time. Nature is a paradox a mirror reflection of life. Here we must live in then both truth and untruth but they are not the same thing. Were not therefore autonomous in truths acquisition. This is as paradox transcends distinctions about what does or does not belong together it is a 'freeing' of the individual. This is done by transcending any true or false with a doubt from the 'it' needing faith trust in the unknown but not in a to be or not to be. This is as it is not a dualism as that is an objective ensnaring of the it as the is not and the is as the it. It is this is that makes paradox the best thing in the world as it is then in a total opposition to the ensnaring power of science as that is then one that is all about the total control and manipulation of people. To deny this truth is to deny the most fundamental capacity of the mind that of finding out the truth. This is due to the unconscious in consciousness as when it is transcended it is what reveals our life to us as our truth as it is then tapped into not ignored. This will give also to us the paradoxical impression that 'I am the ultimate reality itself,' that 'I am a knower of all unknowns' that 'I am free to know no fear of any kind'. Genuine paradox is what obliterates and affirms simultaneously. It is a dualism that is then paradoxically non-dualistic. Transcendence which is noticed by anxiety is then about absolute an in knowledge as it is in relation to involvement in the world. That which can not be denied unless truth and untruth are thought the same which they are only if knowledge is placed above experience of the world. What is really being denied however is our own affirmation of ourselves. This as it is paradox that is what allows us to realize we exist as it discloses a world integral to us not one that is apart from us. Nietzsche said there was no truth in paradox he also said there was no truth in truth only perspective so nothing to be taken to seriously. That is not the case truth is in us in our affirmation of ourselves a paradox. Paradox is what reveals that which is a rather insidious cover up of our freedom to think. This issue is problematic, insidious, and against the it in us. It is not a thing but a covered up in order to work which unlimited self worth makes impossible for it too achieve. After all the goal of action is always to do with contemplation said Aristotle it is a knowing and being rather than a seeking and becoming. The insidious paradox as it is an anti-convention so it is anarchism as a knowing of the limits of things. To do with a theory of knowledge, pragmatism, appearance and reason needing faith a trust in the unknown too decide on the good within our own historical essentialism and the use of our rhetoric which is instinctive. It is not about descriptions in synch with reality as intellectualism is this as it is instead of that a great love of wisdom.

The saloon fight Trivia: *During the scene where Roy and Chon are drunk in the hotel, director Tom Dey hoped to include a drunken kung fu scene as an homage to The Legend of Drunken Master. There was no time to choreograph such a scene, so Dey showed Chon blowing bubbles from his mouth, as Wong Fei-hung does in the Drunken Master movie. *Yuen Biao who was a fight choreographer and stunt double in this film appears briefly as a fighter in the saloon fight scene. *Jackie Chan's Character name, "Chon Wang", is homage to a scene in the movie Rush Hour. In Rush Hour, Chris Tucker instructs Jackie's character to look at the Grauman's Chinese Theater footprint of John Wayne, Inspector Lee responds by saying "Chon Wang?"
