Student dying, HELP!

SIGN PETITION NOW TO HELP http://www.petitiononline.com/batebi/ Urgent action from Amnesty International to get him medical treatment. You can help. http://www.payvand.com/news/07/feb/1319.html Ahmad Batebi (born 1977 in Shiraz, Iran) is an Iranian student who has been imprisoned since the Iranian Student Protests in July 1999. During the protests in the areas surrounding Tehran University, Batebi held up a bloodied shirt belonging to a fellow student who had been beaten by the Basij paramilitaries. The image, pictured right, spread quickly and ended up on the cover of The Economist magazine. Following the publication of The Economist, Batebi was detained and sentenced to death on charges relating to "endangering national security" following a closed-door trial by a Revolutionary Court in Tehran. His death sentence was later commuted to a 15 year prison term by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei . Upon appeal in early 2000, his sentence was further reduced to 1 0 years. In approximately March of 2005, Batebi was temporarily released from Evin Prison in order to get married. He failed to report back to prison. On June 23, 2005 an interview with Ahmad Batebi appeared in The New York Sun newspaper, inside which the article described Batebi as being "currently on the run, avoiding the authorities in Iran". On 28 June 2005, a Judiciary spokesperson announced that an arrest warrant for Ahmad Batebi had been issued after he had failed to return to prison at the expiry of his leave. Batebi was re-arrested on 27 July 2006. He is continuing to serve his 10-year sentence. However, his family was not told where he was detained till August 12, 2006 when he was permitted to telephone his wife. He is currently held Section 209 of Evin prison. His family has only been permitted to visit him three times. During their first two visits, Ahmad Batebi's family was accompanied by four prison guards, although their third visit, on 18 September, was repor tedly less heavily supervised. Ahmad Batebi is not permitted! to see his lawyer. Ahmad Batebi is reportedly in poor physical and mental health, which is said to be deteriorating. He suffers from a number of medical problems as a result of being tortured and ill-treated during his previous period of detention, including stomach and kidney problems. He has lost some of his teeth, and has permanent hearing problems and poor vision. Despite the seriousness of his medical condition, prison authorities are allegedly not permitting Ahmad Batebi to receive any medical treatment beyond a few pain killers. According to a press report, Dr Hesam Firouzi, Ahmad Batebi's doctor, wrote to the authorities on 6 August stating that his patient was at risk of paralysis or heart attack, and needed to receive specialist treatment outside prison. This could be about not being judgmental when someone changes after you haven't seen them for a long time. In hindsight, it can be seen as a song about suicide, since lead singer Kurt Cobain committed suicide less than three years after this was released. The chords in this song are a slowed down replica of Killing Joke's 1985 song "Eighties." The songs were so similar that Nirvana considered holding off releasing this as a single. Killing Joke decided not to sue Nirvana, and in 1992, Dave Grohl helped them out by playing drums for them on an album. Cobain sings over and over, "And I swear that I don't have a gun." He committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. The lyrics, "Come doused in mud, soaked in bleach" were taken from a campaign in Seattle that encouraged heroin users to soak their needles in bleach after injecting to reduce the risk of spreading HIV. The phrase for the campaign was actually "If doused in mud, soak in bleach." The lyrics as used by Cobain could be about tolerating everyone no matter what they look like - black people being the "mud" and white people being the "bleach." This was one of the songs the group chose to adapt for their MTV Unplugged in New York album, recorded months before Cobain's death. Nirvana almost named the album "Sheep," a reference to people who follow the herd. The line, "Take your time, hurry up, the choice is yours, don't be late" is referenced in blink-182's "Adam's Song" when they sing, "I took my time, I hurried up, the choice was mine I didn't think enough." The cover of Nevermind shows a baby underwater reaching for a dollar bill. It symbolizes that you're taught to go after money from the moment you're born. It was underwater because underwater birth fascinated Kurt. One interpretation of this song is that it's about heroin: "Come doused in mud, served in bleach, as I want you to be" - Drugs are cut with all kinds of rubbish. "As a friend, as a trend, as a known enemy" - Drugs can make you feel good, like a friend. There's a trend with them, but they are bad (thus, "as a known enemy.") "Well I swear that I don't have a gun" - A gun could mean a syringe. Cobain also mentions a gun in 'Smells Like Teen Spirit." "Load up on guns, bring your friends its fun to lose and to pretend" - Losing could mean giving in to drugs, and feeling high is to pretend. In Cobain's hometown of Aberdeen, Washington, they put up a road sign after his death that read "Come As You Are." Messiah - Part 1

In all of time there is one book that has something so powerful within its pages unlike any book anywhere else ... prophecies that were predicted by many prophets who all served the same God ... predicted hundreds to over a thousand years before the fact and were fulfilled accurately ... foretelling of a man who was to be born whose name would be, "The mighty God," "The everlasting Father," "Immanuel," (God with us). They detailed his life as well. It would be sensible to take a close look into this book for this would be evidence of something phenomenal. The book is the Bible. One author took just 17 of these prophecies and calculated the mathematical probability of all 17 being fulfilled by chance in one man - Came to 1 chance in the number 48 followed by 31 zeros. He likened this to filling the Milky Way galaxy with sand. Blindfolded, you would have one chance to find the grain that is colored red. (It would take you 100,000 years to cross the galaxy at the speed of light.) This is the chance that these prophecies could not be fulfilled in one man, and yet astoundingly, they were! This video is a segment from "the Seed Messiah" video which can be watched in its entirety at the website:beyondtheshadow.org Animals have been used for analagous characters.
